Happy New Year, friends!
As the new year unfolds, I’m delighted to be involved in not one but two incredible community-oriented exhibitions: The Berry Campbell Gallery in New York City supports the vital fight against AIDS, and the Imago Foundation for the Arts in my native Rhode Island celebrates the vibrancy of Rhode Island's creativity. These exhibits confirm the unifying power of art as a force for positive change and the strength of our creative communities.
Berry Campbell Gallery harnesses art's power to heal and inspire in a benefit to support Visual AIDS. This organization uses art to win the battle against AIDS, support HIV+ artists, and remind us that the fight against this epidemic is far from over. I’m honored to join the Postcards from the Edge benefit exhibit and contribute to this important cause.
You can also contribute meaningfully this new year by supporting Visual AIDS at the online auction on Saturday, January 20, 2024, starting at 10:00 a.m. EST at postcards.visualaids.org.
I’m also excited to celebrate the diverse and dynamic Rhode Island art community in The Big Show exhibit at the Imago Foundation for the Arts this month. This exhibit highlights the rich cultural tapestry that makes Rhode Island's art scene unique, woven from many styles, mediums, and perspectives. It confirms the power of art to foster connection and create community.
Despite winter’s chill in the Northeast, these two exhibitions warmly welcome and herald the New Year in celebrations of Rhode Island's creativity and a powerful call to action to start 2024 with artistic inspiration and social impact.
Wishing you a peaceful and productive New Year!
